Lemon Trees

A photograph I took whilst on our way up to the Dales in a picturesque place called Sawley. It was a steaming hot day and the sun made the leaves on the trees look a yellowy-green colour. This, together with the shallow water, made the leaves look a very bright colour.

Although not lemon trees and not really a bright yellow colour, I chose the title a while ago and I can’t shake it off!

Pretty photo, but I am surprised lemons grow there.

    • They don’t grow here – it’s not warm enough – yet! My title is a little misleading I’m afraid.

    • Thank you Fergie. It reminds me of the touch of Summer we had a couple of weeks ago. (It’s turned into Autumn again with rain, grey skies and gales!).

    • Thank you Cocomino. The water was pretty shallow and the stones could be seen beneath. It was such a hot and bright day!

  4. That’s nice – the more I look at it the more I like it. That’s really good. Adrian

    • Thank you Adrian. I found the lemony-lime colour interesting. I photographed it during the recent hot Summery weather we enjoyed. It seems miles away from that now with the winds and rain!

    • Thanks Sallyann. The name jumped into my mind straight away – it’s funny what triggers an association!
