Summer Whisper

A creamy white rose from the garden to mark the Summer Solstice. The raindrops give a hint as to the very wet weather we have had since last night.

We usually like to visit Stonehenge for the Summer and Winter Solstices but we wimped out when we heard the weather forecast: heavy thundery rain.

  1. So beautiful, Meanderer…reminds me of fresh linen when making the bed anew on a pretty spring/summer morning…or gentle waves of petals…. Very nice. :)

  7. Amazing soft and cool rose macro! We had a coupple of nice summer days – but the forecast for the following days is also not too good here…..

    • Thank you Truels. It seems to go from one extreme to the other. We get a couple of VERY hot and sunny days then – very swiftly – we get cooler temps, very strong – damaging – winds, and heavy persistent rain. The flowers are struggling with it but everywhere else is SO green!
