Impressionist Cathedral?

This photograph is a radical departure from my ‘usual’ and has a dreamy, ethereal feel – hinting at the scene rather than being a detailed representation. It was shot yesterday – on an oppressively hot and hazy day – from a hill a few miles from Salisbury Cathedral, England.

Its medieval spire – standing at 404 feet (128 metres) – is the tallest in Europe (1). It is a commanding sight from all approaches into Salisbury.
