Geranium Robertianum

Also known as Herb Robert or Stinking Bob, these plants with their tiny flowers – around 1cm in diameter – are growing freely in the garden. There is also a pink form which was in evidence in the garden last year, but this year they haven’t appeared. I like the white flowers, though, as they brighten up darker areas nicely. I also like the ‘ferny leaves’, some of which have turned a beautiful red colour (see slideshow below).

It’s named Stinking Bob as it is reputed to smell badly when crushed – something I haven’t tried.
