Grounded Seeds

Today’s image is one which was taken closer to home. Here are the seeds and bracts from a Hornbeam tree – Carpinus betulus – which have fallen on some attractive moss-interlaced pink-coloured paving.

    • Thanks Hallysann! I was amazed at the colours – the bright mossy green and the pink paving make a good match πŸ™‚ I wasn’t sure what the seeds and ‘leaves’ were at first.
