Another bright image today!
This is a shot of the underside of a vibrant yellow dahlia which I photographed at Kingston Lacy, Dorset. The late afternoon sun really made the yellow colouring of these flowers appear very intense, and the lighting emphasised the star-shaped sepals.

Good for you for looking at the underside of things, which can present a view just as compelling as the more frequently seen one looking in the other direction. Red, yellow, and black make a striking color scheme.

I particularly like this shot because I love to paint images, whether animals, plants or people, ‘from behind’ (as you can see from my gravatar). There is something seductive about the turning away.
