Ploughed Earth

This is the field where I photographed Wheat last Summer. I walked through the field again a couple of days ago and was excited to see that it had been newly ploughed in readiness for this year’s crop.

The low sun cast a golden orange glow over the soil. The patch on the right is a field margin which has parched grass and dried bits of hay from the harvesting lying on top.

    • Thanks so much Adrian. I have had a look at a 90 degree rotation and it is certainly interesting, however, I wanted a slightly less abstract feel for this one as I wanted to emphasise the look and feel of the start of the farming cycle also.
