Lichen Landscape

Here is a close-up of one of the older Cornus (dogwood) stems from the hedge I featured a couple of days ago. Many of the older stems were encrusted with lichen.

      1. So like you said earlier, we should all slow down and start taking our walks with a camera…to see what we might miss otherwise…. And you’re most welcome. πŸ™‚

        1. Nature sure does. When I first started taking macro shots I was amazed at the intricate detail of flowers, lichen, and insects and so on – things I’d never properly noticed before. I was tempted at the time to look at things under the microscope but never got round to it – as you say the detail at microscopic level is fascinating!
