…….. on a cold grey Wintery day.
I took this photograph on Sunday – the same day as the ‘Pen and Ink’ photograph. It was very dreary but I was looking around for a little brightness which this small orange willow bud provided.
In the background is a very claggy muddy path which coated my boots in thick clay mud making each step quite difficult. To the right is the bench we sat on – enjoying our coffee and cake whilst the swans created art …….
Nothing signifies hope as much as a bud π

That’s lovely! Spring started arriving where I live at the end of January! There are buds on most of the trees and the bushes are already turning colourful!

Thank you Loveoutloud! Are you in the UK? Autumn seemed to merge into an early Spring here but then suddenly Winter came. It all seems very mixed up at the moment but it’s feeling more Spring-like in sound, feel and smell!

No, I’m in France. We recently had very cold weather with snow, so spring may have been slowed down now π¦

Spring is definately on it’s way but the sun has still got it’s hat, coat, scarf and gloves on to come out to play. π

I do love Winter and her snows and cold weather, but there is something so wonderful about Spring, too. How nice to see her coming ’round again. π

Thank you Scott. There’s such a feeling of anticipation with Spring – which seems to start earlier and earlier. The birds and buds lead the way and one tunes in hoping Spring is here but then confusion reigns as the cold temps return! I love the variety π

I agree – the weather is so strange! Lots of birds in the garden again today probably due to the mild sunny weather. I went out without my coat today!
