Beach Sentries

Here is a photograph I took last month of some beach huts on Bournemouth seafront. They were in blocks of different shades of rainbow colours. They look to me as if they are standing on guard – ready to protect the land against the waves. I was struck by how ‘spick and span’ they looked – quite regimental in appearance compared to the older traditional ones.

    1. Thank you Sandy. Yes, I wonder who’s idea it was to paint them the colours of the rainbow! There are a mix of huts in Bournemouth – some are quite old – I’ll post an image of an original shortly.
