Metallic Elements

Two dried – almost copper coloured – umbellifers stand in front of a textured lime-washed wall. I love this wall and the way it changes colour quite dramatically according to the light. When lit by full sun it looks soft and golden but in shade it takes on a harder gunmetal colour.

    • Many thanks for your comments and suggestions Marina – I really appreciate it! I think a series would be a great idea – the wall isn’t too far away and various plants grow in front of it throughout the year πŸ™‚ I do have one or two more images from the day and will post soon.

  1. This is beautiful! It actually looks like metal art. So simple, yet so lovely! By the way, I think your new theme with the gold and orange glow go well with your blog title “Lantern Room.”

    • Thank you Fergie! It is really simple – and very low contrast!

I hadn’t thought of the theme matching the blog title! I’ll have to find a photograph of a Lantern Room from a Lighthouse to use as a header image! Many thanks πŸ™‚

    • Thank you Sandy! The photo wasn’t planned – I just noticed how nice these umbellifers looked in shadow first of all. I took about 5 or 6 photos and they each look so different because of the sun darting in and out of clouds!
