Windswept

Here is a photograph from the top of Lydeard Hill in the Quantocks, Somerset, where I walked last weekend. It was a bright day but pretty misty and murky when looking into the distance.

The soft green and purple patchwork colours from the landscape made an interesting – and quite moody – backdrop and I like the way the trees have bent in one direction against the prevailing wind.

    1. Thank you Fergie! If I could paint, I would try for something like this. Actually – I’ve just had an idea; I wonder whether pastels and charcoal would produce something similar. I might try it!

    1. Thank you Ledia. I’ve seen photos of the landscape around this area taken on a clear day and they are very beautiful, but the mist created something lovely too!
