Flower Stem

Here is a photograph of one of the flower stems with its many stamens from the Carex Elata grass which I featured a couple of days ago. This one had broken off and was lying on the paving. I love the colours of the stamens and the contrast of those colours with the slate blue of the paving.

    1. Thank you Brandon! Grass flowers often go unnoticed but they are usually quite complex and colourful when looked at closely. I love your dandelion series; it helps to give these much bemoaned about flowers a good press!
