An attractive fence manages to take a bit of the limelight from the vivid yellow oilseed rape! There are many many fields of this crop at present and its colour does tend to attract the eye away from other pretty scenes in the countryside. For this photo I wanted the fence to be the centre of attraction along with the more traditional wildflowers and grasses.

    1. Thank you Sallyann. Yes – it is VERY easy for the yellow to take all the attention! I feel like a bee or a butterfly drawn to the bright colours but I worry about that. I don’t want to neglect or ignore our traditional flowers and scenery : – )

    1. Rapeseed is beautiful to look at but it is easy to become entranced by it to the detriment of other beauties in Nature. Hence this image and a little bit of balance!
