Small and Sweet

A photograph of one of my very favourite types of wildflower – an umbellifer of some sort which I think is a Burnet Saxifrage (which isn’t actually a saxifrage at all but a member of the carrot family). One day I will sit down with a very good botanical book in order to properly identify and name the various umbellifers I photograph. The flowers on this one are very small and very sweet!

  1. That’s nice, that’s beautiful – those white flowers seem just to be floating above the out of focus backdrop, and their green centers (flowers’ naughty bits?) link them with the backdrop too. Very nice picture – it almost looks like a fresh painting. Adrian
