As we were watching the train go by and photographing (or filming) it – so the passengers were watching and photographing and filming us!

Here are some of the carriages – with viewing passengers – being pulled by the ‘Tornado’ steam engine as featured in a previous post.

  1. I love the idea that you and the passengers were filming each other. The train looks very old. Over here now, except for freight carriers, we mostly have the Amtrak everywhere. I haven’t written on one yet, but hope to.

    1. The carriages do look old and a real mix. I ought to try and find out a bit about them. We have different rail companies here but I have a soft spot for these heritage carriages and engines.

    1. I had a look at the one at the front which is ‘The Royal Scot’ and found it is a luxury Pullman dining carriage. Some photos around the internet show it to be very beautiful inside. I’d like to ride in one and have dinner!

  2. Love the contrast of colors in the photo… Very fun! I can’t believe they were taking photos of you too…
I nominated you for the Living Passionately Blogger award and thought you may want to check it out. Your blog is beautiful.
