Winter Willow

Oh what a wonderful sight – these soft furry catkin flowers of the Willow on show in January during a cold snowy spell of weather! A reminder of the overlap between seasons.

    1. Thank you, Sheila. I read that the catkins appear between January and March but I don’t think I’ve noticed them this early before. Last year I posted an image of a golden willow with buds in mid-Feb. I was really surprised that these looked so good and healthy during a period of very cold snowy weather!

Thank you so much for the Award, Elmediat. I really appreciate it. I also very much appreciate, and am grateful for, your very kind and supportive comments. Many congratulations on your well-deserved Awards, also πŸ™‚
