Patterns on the Landscape

Landscape_patterns-201302

We made ourselves go for a walk today even though (and despite) it being a thoroughly gloomy wet day. It’s really important, I think, to get out into the daylight on such a dark Winter’s day. It can be uplifting even though it is fairly dark and dismal.

There were drops hanging everywhere on last year’s winding curling twiggy stems and this one caught my eye – dangling as it was over the distant landscape. Looks as if the dismal grey weather is ‘in’ for the best part of a week.

        1. Ah – indoor decorating sounds ideal in these drab weather conditions. It snowed here today surprisingly as it wasn’t forecast. I was at work for much of the duration but was pleased that it didn’t settle for my walk home. Enjoy your week off 🙂

            1. Yes, you did…and I do enjoy this one, particularly for the clean appearance and the footer space at the bottom, instead of just having side-bar space, which makes the photo a bit smaller…however, with this theme, you can choose to have it either way, or both…and with an option of light or dark backgrounds…it’s quite versatile, actually…. Hope you enjoy it. 🙂

  1. It’s so challenging to find an interesting shot on gloomy days. Well Done! It is good to get outside even in bad weather. Fortunately I have a dog who insists upon it, or I would be too tempted to stay indoors till Spring!
