Rose Lane

A view through one of the many narrow cobbled alleyways in St. Ives, Cornwall.

It was much busier than this scene portrays – I waited for some walkers to disappear out of view and then quickly took the photograph.

    1. It was a great place to stroll around! We walked from the Tate Gallery in order to try and find some old wooden fishing dwellings which once stood there – but we couldn’t find them. They must have been knocked down or completely renovated. Still, it was good to walk around the tiny streets with all the pretty houses along them.

    1. Thank you, Scott. Yes – maybe childhood memories. There is a sense of nostalgia about the place – its history. Although there are some new builds, the place seems to be quite unaltered – which is part of its charm.
