Hoverfly in the Sky with Daisies

Looking up at a large group of lemon daisies through to a lovely blue sky. My old friend – the hoverfly – came into the frame just in time.

Is anyone else having problems commenting on other people’s blogs today? Mine seem to be disappearing into the ether. I’ve posted a couple of questions on the WP forums but I can’t respond to other comments on that either.

        1. I’m not sure. I think a few people are having problems commenting on others’ blogs at the moment. I noticed I had a problem since this morning. I have left a comment on your blog for your post today but it hasn’t appeared. Could you check your spam folder please Marina. I think akismet is wrongly marking some of the comments as spam. Many thanks!

            1. Thank you for checking, Marina. A few other people are having this problem today. I’ve been on the forums but to no avail. It was suggested to someone that they contact Akismet – but why should we need to do that if all was okay before. I don’t post dodgy comments and I rarely include links. It’s all very odd.

              Thanks, once again.

  1. Wonderful pov, absolutely wonderful picture – even without the fly it would be great, but that adds to it! Actually, on a bizarre note, the fly reminds me of an attack helicopter flying over forest – something out of Apocalypse Now or Black Hawk Down – weird I know, but I can only describe what I see and feel.

The masses of thin green stems look great, and of course the magical mixture of yellow and blue. And having rather more sky over to the left works well too. You are on a run of excellent pictures, M – a joy to look at!

And the title? Are / were you a Beatles fan??? πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ˜‰ I certainly was / am! So which of us is the Fool On The Hill, with the eyes in our heads seeing so much? Maybe we both are! πŸ™‚

    1. Thanks so much, Adrian. I’m pleased that you are enjoying the images at present. I’ve been fired up by the (late in some cases) appearance of flowers!

Indeed – we can only describe what we see and feel: hence my strange comments on your images from time to time πŸ˜‰ It’s what it’s all about as far as I’m concerned (not my strange comments, but how we interpret each other’s images πŸ™‚ ).

Ha ha: the title! I’m pleased, also, that you recognised the nod to the Fab Four. Yes – I love the Beatles – so many favourites to choose from. Lennon and Harrison were my faves: the idealists of the band.

Indeed: seeing so much; the energy goes into filtering out the superfluous.

    1. Many thanks, TBM. I love daisies, also.

Your comment was in spam. I do hope they sort this out soon. Responses from the fora have been highly unsatisfactory. Not a happy bunny 😦

  2. I like the angle you’ve got on this one, works perfectly, great exposure too.
I must admit I didn’t notice the reference to the Beetles in the title – well spotted Adrian πŸ™‚
