The Lantern Room 2013 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2013 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 21,000 times in 2013. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 8 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

  1. Good stuff, M – and I see I’m your most blathering and mouthy commentatorist, and that’s before I hit the cider!

What to say? So many times I’ve come over to your blog to see a new post and, on seeing it, my reaction has been “Ohhhh …. “, because what I’m seeing has really engaged my attention and “sightbuds”. Your images are a delight to look at – and that you are using a compact camera only serves to make this more of an achievement. It is a secret desire of mine that you will graduate to something with interchangeable lenses – but its your call!

I keep having thoughts about listing bloggers I’m close to and “right in there with”, I can never decide whether to do it or not – but if I do, you’ll 100% certainly be in there. It is only a couple of years that we’ve been blogging “alongside each other” but it seems far longer than that – and you are a very solid part of the blogging world that I have out there in the ether.

Well, all good wishes for 2014! It is going to be the start of another chapter in your life – there’ll be challenges, certainly, but your decision to embark on this new course is equally certainly a good one – to quote Myself Myself, “JUST DO IT!!!!!” NotThinMan 🙂

    • Blather-thee-not my dear long-time fellow blogger. Your comments are always welcome because they are an honest and descriptive appraisal of each image.

Ah – I see the reference to interchangeable lenses …… we shall see. I’m not very into the technical side of photography. I tend towards finding the simplest way of transferring what I have seen to the wider public!

I know what you mean about listing favourite bloggers and so on. I don’t like to make such lists. If I enjoy bloggers posts then I will be there with my likes and my comments. You would certainly be there though – if there was such a list.

Thanks again for all your wonderful, encouraging and supportive comments – both on my photographs and other things ……. including beer 😉

All the VERY VERY BEST to you and yours for 2014, Adrian. Let’s just keep on keeping on – NotThinMan 🙂
