Something I like to do from time to time is look back in my photograph archives to the same month a year or two ago just to see what I was up to and the sort of things I photographed – and whether an image strikes me in a different way now from when I took it.
Back in February 2012, this was an interesting lichen pattern on a stone step which caught my eye. Today – it is an Angry (or possibly bemused) Bear 😉
Bemused I think……..

Mmm – yes; I think you are right. When I first looked at him, ‘angry bear’ came to mind – and the thought of lichen transformed into an angry bear amuses me – but there is just something about the ‘mouth’ which softens the face a little. Perhaps he is angry about being bemused 😉
Many thanks for your comment!

Wonderful, Gary! It also sounds like the name of a Russian femme fatale in a James Bond film 😉

I’ve been doing the same thing – reviewing 2011-2012 photos. It’s a good winter project and I can see you found a hidden gem among them.

It is an interesting project, isn’t it? Also a lovely way to spend a few hours on a cold and windy day! It frightens me when I look back how quickly time goes, however.
Many thanks, Ken.
