An owl perched on a barbed wire fence, or a broken piece of fence post?
It’s a matter of perception and how what we see is filtered through our experience of what we have seen before.
How can we trust what we ‘see’ of anything, then?

I love this photo, it reminds me very much of where I live (only our grasses are all dried at this time). Beautiful composition.

How lovely that it reminds you of a place familiar to you. No matter where we are there are connections of place and memory.
It’s very lush because of all the rain we had over Winter and most of Spring. Everywhere seems to be overflowing with richness and leafiness at present (as the garden continues to remind me π ). Thank you very much, Angeline.

I think it’s a broken piece of fence post but it surely looks like an owl! π

He’s there, isn’t he, Marina? In some way or form – plucked from our memory – he is there π
