  1. That’s nice and simple, M, and I like the shapes of the lavender stems and flowers against the mown grass, which has a slight, near horizontal texture and colour variation that could be a green sky with the palest and most diffuse of cirrus clouds. A

    1. Thank you, Wendy. Yes, elegance springs to mind when thinking about lavender. There wasn’t a strong scent but perhaps it’s because these were planted quite sparsely.

  2. Ah how lovely M you’ve made *elegance* out of what I might have called spindly in my garden 🙂 … and now I have the Percy Grainger tune version running through my head ….

    1. Thank you, Poppy! Yes, in more recent years that tune has reminded me firstly of a sketch from The Fast Show (Bob Fleming and co), and also a rather unsavoury version which I won’t repeat here 🙂
