It’s been a wet, windy, and deeply grey day here today – a day for staying indoors and reading whilst now and again glimpsing out of the window at the weather as it rushes by. Now that many of the leaves on the large horse chestnut have fallen, a more distant scene comes into view from my favourite place to sit. Right now – at sunset – tones of violet, blue, and pink have appeared in the sky, as the cloud begins to clear from the South West.
