      1. We find them up in the mountains and canyons…I understand that they received this name because they are often the first plant to come back after there has been a wildfire in the area….

        1. That’s interesting, Scott. From memory, this bank used to have other plants growing on it, but they were taken out and I think the area was pretty much cleared ……. then these appeared. It’s wonderful how some plants seem to heal damaged earth.

  1. I like this, M. There’s the in focus bloom on the left of course – but to me the out of focus backdrop does more – green below and blue above, with all of these out of focus plants cutting straight up through both. A
