There was no sign of the baler on this bright and sultry afternoon. The combines, however, could be heard in the distance busily whirring away.

    1. Thank you, Margaret. It really was very orangey-gold – quite difficult to look at, actually.

      I drove past the field yesterday and still the hay lay in its rows. The patterns look more distinctive from the road, but there is nowhere safe to stop to take a photo.
