This is an absolutely wonderful image, M, Minimal to a T. And I very much like the crescent of slightly darker (wetter, I imagine) sand towards the top of the shot, while that little pebble at upper right adds oodles to the whole. A
Thank you, Adrian. I took a few photos like this during a visit to Wales a couple of weeks ago, and hesitated posting any of them. This one spoke to me yesterday evening.
Often its good to come back to images sometime after they’ve been taken – see them with new eyes and a fresh mind, that sort of thing.

What an imaginative image that is, that boulder is so right in that place in the image. It works like a full stop to arrest the eye and draw you back into the image. I love the minimalism too.
