Bright late afternoon October sunshine streams in through a SW facing window, illuminating my Autumn-coloured bouquet.
The evenings are really setting in early now – around 6.30pm, although plentiful sunshine this Autumn is helping prolong the daylight. I appreciate that – and the gentle warmth it brings.
Radiant!

Love this! Firstly, the blooms all seem to be reaching up towards the sky / light, and then I love the light beams too – all very vibrant, radiant (as Gary says) and alive! A š

Hi, If only that light and warmth could be captured for those weeks when it is cold and dark.

Indeed, Margaret. Already, the dark evenings and mornings are encroaching; the clocks go back an hour at the weekend, then the light is really at a premium!

A cleverly chosen viewpoint that accentuates the light and translucency of the petals. The colours of Autumn are coming but depending on where you look some trees seem to be unaware of Autumn altogether. The forecasters promised that the colours would be late but very good when they arrived, and I think they are being proved right.

Thank you, Andy. The leaf change is certainly curious at present. Around here colours are slowly changing – the ornamentals having turned early – but also some trees are shedding leaves early even though we haven’t had any frost yet.
