Yellow and Birch

yellow_birch-201610Got up and out early this morning to greet the fog – the first time in a long while that I’ve felt enthusiastic and motivated to get out with the camera. I’m pleased I did. The fog lends a wonderfully soft and peaceful feeling to trees and fields. It was absolutely magical standing underneath trees as hushed gentle breezes blew dew-laden leaves softly to the ground.

  1. I’m glad you got out with the camera too, my friend – although I too know that it can take some willpower. And I like the picture too – putting that vertical birch dead centre in contrast to many of the other trees that are leaning slightly left works very well, and I also like the contrast between the birch’s colour and everything else in the scene. The more I look at this picture, the more it seems that that birch is coming out of the frame to talk to me. A

    • I’m not sure what that is. It’s only around the corner from here – will have a look again at the leaves and report back! I love being out in the fog and the way sounds are muffled and a plain backdrop sets off interesting things in the foreground!
