What a surprise! At first glance I was seeing leaves in a puddle – second glance, brightly coloured fish in a rippling pool. A lovely photo.

Thank you very much, Margaret. It was photographed inside a huge glass dome with the blue sky reflecting. The fish were such pretty colours!

did this 🙂
🙂 Water enables such interesting patterns and colours, and the fish obliged by creating a mini whirlpool!
What fun–it’s very reminiscent of some of my favorite Escher drawings!
Thank you, Gary. I think it was yourself who first mentioned Escher in relation to one of my images.
I’ve tried capturing ripples in water and know how difficult it can be to get a quality shot. I love the lines in this, so well inscribed, and the flecked colours. Great image, Meanderer.
Thank you, Andy. The light from above the glass dome was concentrated in this area and the blue sky was reflected so clearly. I wasn’t aiming to capture the fish but they swam into view at the right time!
This is so lovely M !
Thank you, Poppy!
I like the colours here and the distortions too – just looking at confuses my eyes, it all seems to be moving in front of me. A
How interesting, Adrian. I shall have to find out how to do an animated GIF 🙂
Thank you very much!
