Oat Breeze

The tall flexible stems and straw-coloured seed heads of a giant oat (Stipa Gigantea) sway in the strong breeze against an evergreen backdrop.

I love these plants – so elegant.

  1. I love them, too, and most grasses, particularly for the way they sway in the wind. This is a terrific time of year to look at them, too. Nice image! I like the way the background shows through behind the stalks and seedheads.

  2. Oh yes, I like this, M – everything’s being blown from right to left, the grass seeds and stems look great, and there are all those yellows and pale greens; no real subject really, but who needs one? – this is very good to look at and get lost in. A πŸ™‚
