I recently discovered this plant – which was unknown to me until then – whilst visiting Picton Castle Gardens in Wales a couple of weeks ago.
It was situated in the jungle garden and looked rather pretty with its freshly opening green and pink tinged leaves and curly tendrils. Its climbing habit put me in mind of a cross between a Honeysuckle and a Wisteria.
It’s common name is the hardy kiwi and it is native to China, Japan and Korea. I’d like to see it in full leaf.
