It’s that busy time of year when the numerous grass fields of Wales get their first cut of the season during a prolonged dry spell.
The striped foreground shows the cut grass in the process of being gathered into straight lines for collection. Just beyond is the cut grass awaiting this process. The yellow plants in the background are the wonderfully zingy greeny-yellow coloured Laburnum bushes which adorn many of the hedgerows in rural Wales.
All day and well into the evening the low-level rumble of tractors with various attachments, along with small combines can be heard – the headlights spotted from miles away on the horizon into the night.
