Today’s image is one which was taken closer to home. Here are the seeds and bracts from a Hornbeam tree – Carpinus betulus – which have fallen on some attractive moss-interlaced pink-coloured paving.

I love the juxtaposition of the straight, orderly rows of bricks and lines of moss contrasted with the random scattering of seeds. Very fun!
