A cool blue Autumnal morning.
The storm is apparently on its way. Trains have been cancelled and people are being warned to be prepared. Will it cause major disruption – or will it sweep past without much incident? We will know by morning.

Thank you, Marina! The storm didn’t affect us too much as it turns out. It was at its worse along the south coast of England by the look of it.

Thank you, Adrian. It was a cold morning early October. There’s nothing like being in a lovely warm room whilst looking out onto a cold Autumnal morning ๐

Very atmospheric! Part of our willow tree came down, and was resting on the power line at dawn… All is well – we still have power and the tree will be used for firewood! Hope all is well with you.

Thank you, Dreams and Zeros. The storm seemed to go south of where we are so not so much damage here. A lot more twigs and leaves on the ground than usual and some people reported fence panels down.

Thank you, David. Yes – safe here. The storm seemed to hit the coast quite badly and then veered off into Denmark and Germany.

Thank you, Elmediat. It’s all the more mysterious, I think, because it wasn’t home but a ‘stranger’s’ home in a strange place ๐
