Another rose close-up – this time something more peachy in colour – or maybe apricoty but peachy sounds nicer! Roses are doing very well everywhere this year; the weather may be strange and unpredictable but these flowers seem to like it.

Many thanks Gracie. I love the way the roses are really holding their own. There doesn’t seem to be as many aphids around; curious.

Thank you Sallyann. Roses generally are looking so lovely and abundant aren’t they? This odd weather seems to suit them ๐

I don’t have anything here but wild roses, but boy, do I love them. Your peachy rose is stunning!

Many thanks Sandy. I find it interesting that the roses have reacted in such a positive way to the strange weather. They must be getting more water than usual at a time of year when they need it.

Reblogged this on FATman Photos and commented:
This close up of a rose by Meanderer absolutely flattens me! To call this beautiful is vast understatement. The roughly concentric, wafer (or potato crisp!) -like shapes of the petals, with their range of tones from white to greyish are one thing >>> but then to infuse into this all of these absolutely stunning apricot / peach tones too is quite simply breathtaking! Good one, lady, good one! FATman

Many thanks for the reblog Adrian. Roses look fab at the moment despite the rain. They don’t seem to be getting attacked by aphids very much either – hence the unblemished petals!
